An ad hoc committee will explore the molecular-level frontiers of energy processes in nature through the development and implementation of an interactive, multidisciplinary, public workshop. They will prepare a report that will summarize the committee's assessment of what transpired at the event. The workshop will feature invited presentations and include discussion of key biological energy. Science Frontiers (SF) is a peer-reviewed, open access international journal, published by Science Publishing Group. Science Frontiers (SF) publishes original articles in all areas of science research. Authors are encouraged to submit complete unpublished and original works, which are not under review in any other journals. This book covers topics from a wide variety of disciplines including cell biology, developmental biology, ecology, endocrinology, genetics, molecular biology, neurobiology, and pharmacology. There is a focus on circadian (daily), tidal, seasonal, and annual rhythms, as well as other biological rhythms. Building upon the workshop, the National Academies Board on Chemical Sciences and Technology convened the workshop described in this report, titled Research Frontiers in Bioinspired Energy: Molecular-Level Learning from Natural Systems. The workshop featured invited presentations and included discussion of key biological energy capture.
